I suppose a panther could work in a pinch. It seems to me that the car bodies add a lot to the rigidity of the whole package. Guess that's why you said ladder frame.

That's actually one thing that fascinated me about the Reliant Scimitar the other day. It would be shockingly easy to put any kind of drivetrain in whatsoever, because its frame is bone-simple and shockingly overbuilt. That's what you get when you're doing a BOF fiberglass car, I guess, if you're not Chevy.
